Scheveningen is hosting the O’Neill Kite World Cup as we speak, from 15 until the 20th of may. It’s the very first PKRA World Tour in Holland, celebrating O’Neill’s 60th birthday. And I, born and raised in this little town by the sea, am so proud of that and can’t wait to go and watch the action! I will be there taking photo’s and sharing via Twitter and Instagram from tomorrow on: Most of us are working during the day, and therefor we’re now kind of ‘missing the heat’…

But luckily, O’Neill (and O’Neill Netherlands as well) is doing a great job posting the photo’s, sharing updates and recaps like the one below. Youri Zoon (NL) is currently holding the title of world champion. Youri, Alex Pastor (ESP) and Alberto Rondina (ITA) are the three big favorites to win this competition.

Party
The entrance to the kite world cup is free. But the party of this event is one you don’t want to miss. On Friday (tickets 12,50), aside from some DJ action, Go Back To The Zoo is performing live! On Saturday (tickets 5 euro) we can enjoy the sunny danceable melodies of Splendid. More info and tickets here. The party will go on untill 1 in the morning. Not done yet? Beachclub Naturel is throwing a great party unitll 4 in the morning.
